Lorenz Mayr
Before founding MAYR Kanzlei für Arbeitsrecht in Berlin in 2001, I gained valuable professional experience and expertise in renowned law firms in Birmingham/USA, Frankfurt am Main and Berlin, most recently as head of the employment law department of a major law firm.
My focus is on providing practical and solution-oriented labour law advice to employers and executives on all labour law issues and executives on all labour law issues. I am particularly interested in representing associations and organisations from the NGO and non-profit sector. We represent charitable organisations, scientific institutes, non-profit companies, associations and foundations throughout Germany.
One focus of my work is advising on co-operation with the works council in matters relating to the Works Constitution Act. With the experience gained from numerous conciliation committee proceedings, I support our clients in finding constructive solutions. I also assist companies with operational changes such as reorganisations, mass redundancies and transfers of undertakings, often in connection with negotiations on reconciliation of interests and social compensation plans.
Another field of activity is advising board members, managing directors, chief physicians, partners of auditing firms and other executives on all issues relating to the organisation and termination of their employment relationships.
Compliance advice is currently my personal speciality: as a trusted lawyer, I support companies with compliance and whistleblower protection issues and provide confidential support in sensitive cases.
