Employees can receive the Corona Bonus until March 31, 2022 to compensate them for the effects of the Corona pandemic.<\/p>\n

This is a special payment of up to 1,500 euros, which is paid out in addition to wages. The special feature of the Corona Bonus is that it is tax- and social security-free. Even those who work part-time or on a mini-job basis can receive the Corona Bonus. The payment is voluntary and employers are not obliged to make it. The payment of a smaller sum is also possible. The special payment can also be spread over several months. For example, if employers have already paid out 1,000 euros in 2021, they can pay the remaining 500 euros by the end of March 2022. If employers have already paid out the full bonus of 1,500 euros in 2020 or 2021, they cannot grant another tax- and social security-free Corona special payment in 2022.<\/p>\n
